The present invention is directed to compounds of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R1 is C1-C6 alkyl, C5-C6 cycloalkyl, <IMAGE> <IMAGE> each of R2 and R3 is taken separately and is independently hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl, C3-C4 alkenyl, C3-C4 alkynyl, C3-C4 cycloalkyl or C1-C3 alkoxy, or R2 and R3 are taken together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached and form piperidine, morpholine or pyrrolidine; each R4 independently is halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-Cphd 4 alkoxy, C1-C4 haloalkyl, C1-C4 haloalkoxy or cyano; X is 0 or S; and m is 0-3; with the provisos that when R4 is C1-C4 alkyl, that substituent exists at other than the 2 or 6 position of the phenyl ring; and when R2 is C1-C3 alkoxy, R3 is other than C1-C3 alkoxy. These compounds exhibit activity as terrestrial herbicides, aquatic herbicides, and aquatic algicides.
