The cutter for a regularly shaped, e.g. round, cake, gateau e.g. cuts a number of equal portions. It comprises one or more sets of guide grooves (3) with common intersection for a knife. - The grooves are arranged and numbered such that they define a number of identical sectors corresponding with the numbers shown. These grooves are pref. arranged in a plate (1) to support the cake during cutting, the numbers being shown on the perimeter (2).
