A rod antenna is proposed which is equipped with an antenna amplifier whose testing and replacement are intended to be simplified. According to the invention, the antenna amplifier (20) is accommodated in a separate amplifier housing (13). The amplifier housing is detachably connected to the base element (11) of the rod antenna. It has a plug connection (19) in order to connect the antenna amplifier to a first coaxial connecting piece (15) and to a second connecting piece (36) for an antenna cable (33). When the amplifier housing is removed from the base element, the antenna cable can be connected to the first connecting piece. The antenna rod (12) is likewise connected to the base element such that it can be replaced. <IMAGE>
