PURPOSE:To provide the titled molded and crosslinked article having excellent mechanical properties, heat-resistance, chemical resistance and dimensional stability, by heat-treating a molded polyester articles containing 6,6'-(ethylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid as a main acid component, under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A molded polyester article wherein at least a part, preferably >=50mol% of the acid component is 6,6'-(ethylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid and the glycol component is preferably ethylene glycol (preferably a drawn film), is heat-treated in the presence of molecular oxygen, preferably in air, under the temperature and time conditions shown by the formula I and formula II [t is heat-treatment time (min); T is heat-treating temperature ( deg.C)].
