a. The present invention relates to a device for cutting round and square bales of hay, straw and other crops. b. This device comprises a mechanism having two blades 4 with cutting teeth, driven in an alternating movement, of variable length and driven by an electric or thermal motor 2, the assembly as a whole being operable by a single person. c.
