PURPOSE:To obtain preparation of glass fiber cloth prepreg free from deterioration in quality by dipping and drying glass fiber cloth at a loose tension in thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:When material fiber is impregnated with varnish to prepare prepreg, this resin must be insoluble to thermosetting resin varnish for preparation of prepreg in order that said resin prevents the force to solidify the fiber at a cutting section from decreasing. Generally, epoxy resin and polyimide resin are used widely as thermosetting resin with which glass fiber cloth is impregnated. The low tension value is determined with the following formula as a reference. The low tension (kg/m)=the weight of glass fiber cloth impregnated with thermosetting resin varnish + (5+ or -3), while the tension is adjusted by the driving roll of the tension adjuster of an prepreg preparing equipment and a glass fiber feed roll installed before a thermosetting resin varnish bath. |
