Steering wheel suspension whereby the shock absorber (9) is secured to the vehicle body (3) via a flexible assembly (7) also supporting the coil spring on the shock absorber; the said suspension being characterised by the fact that the said assembly is composed of a supporting plate (16) for the said spring (6), a flexible pad (40) securable to the vehicle body (3), and a ball joint (21) connecting the shock absorber rod to the pad, in such a manner as to allow rotation in any direction.
