<p>A cargo reclaiming apparatus that may be fitted to a ship for emptying bulk solid material from the holds or to a warehouse for emptying such material from storage bins. The apparatus has a gantry (15,100;206) movable across the top of the storage containers, a rotatable or translatable structure (20; 107;217) mounted on the gantry (15;100;202) and a boom (33;223) supported by and extending from the said structure (20;107;217) at a selectable angle. The boom (33; 223) has a digging wheel (40;230) at its outer end for feeding material to the inner surface of a belt (55;235) encircling the boom (33;223). The material passes through the said structure (20;107;217) and gantry (15;100;202) and is fed to a collection location. The blet (55;235) on the boom (33;233) may carry material from the container even when the outer end of the boom (33;223) is positioned above the end of the boom (33;223) connected to the said structure (20;107;217)</p> |
