PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of the surface machined by producing a shaping cutter with a shift factor set at +0.25-+0.4. CONSTITUTION:This shaping cutter is manufactured with an application range La thereof larger than that of the conventional type while the shift factor is set at +0.25-+0.4. The larger application range of the cutter reduced errors in the tooth profile of a gear thereby stabilizing the tooth profile thereof. This eliminates flaws, seizure and the like to improve the accuracy of the surface machined thereby extending the life of the cutter. In addition, the reduction in the mesh pressure angle is very limited with the reduction in the tooth thickness of the cutter. |
