Method for processing untreated plastic waste material, preferably from domestic sources, having proportions of plastic which hitherto were not reusable. The aim and object of the invention is, in an uncomplicated method with low outlay, to subject unsorted and uncleaned plastic wastes to complete reclamation for the production of mouldings. The method according to the invention provides for the prepared plastic wastes to be comminuted in cutting devices to a particle size of up to at most 3 mm, to be mixed with 20 to 40 % of extremely fine wood material and colour batch in a mixer and, without further additives, to be fed to a single-screw extruder. In the barrel zones of the single-screw extruder, the material components are extruded at a temperature of between 160 and 210 DEG C and the emerging composition is processed in a mould at between 30 and 60 DEG C predominantly to form mouldings.
