The subject of the invention relates to the technical sector of building, especially doors and windows made of wood. The method is notable in that, on the one hand, there is provided, during the manufacture of the fixed frame 1 and of the leaf 3, an open-ended groove 1b, 3b for the flush seating of the sole plate 2b of each hinge element 2 and, on the other hand, there are produced, likewise during manufacture, hinges having fastening sole plates 2b equipped with projections for penetrating into the wood, for the purpose of positioning the hinges firmly in the grooves.
