PURPOSE:To prevent the excessive anti-lock control occurring with correspondence to the pulsating wheel speed when braking on wasteland, by controlling to suppress the increment of anticipated vehicle speed based on the wheel speed upon increase of the wheel speed over the anticipated vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:The hydraulic control circuit 3 coupled to the master cylinder M has the modulators 11, 11' corresponding respectively with the front and rear wheel brakes. The anti-lock control hydraulic chambers 20, 20' of respective modulator 11, 11' are coupled through normal-close inlet valves Vi, Vi' to a hydraulic pump P while through normal-close outlet valves Vo, Vo' to an oil tank T. Upon locking of wheel, the inlet valves Vi, Vi' are opened while the outlet valves Vo, Vo' are closed to avoid locking. Upon increase of the wheel speed over the anticipated vehicle speed, the increment of the anticipated vehicle speed based on the wheel speed is suppressed to compare the referential wheel speed based on the anticipated vehicle speed with actual wheel speed thus to decide locking of wheel. |
