PURPOSE:To prevent main component members from being overheated or broken and prevent a fire or other danger, by a construction wherein a part of a wall part of a member for passing and supplying an ink is constituted of a heat-fusible film. CONSTITUTION:Heating element patterns 6 are laid on the outer surface of a plurality of ink passage 10 passing through a pressure chamber of a head substrate 1 and nozzles 4, both ends of the patterns 6 are connected to current-passing members 7, and a temperature detector 9 provided in proximity to the nozzles 4 detects the ink temperature. An opening 11 of the ink passages 10 is provided at an upper position in the direction of gravity in the vicinity of the patterns 6, and is sealed by the heat-fusible film 12. When the patterns 6 are excessively heated due to some abnormal condition, the film 12 is broken through melting, thereby opening the opening 11. As a result, an ink in the passages 10 flows out through the opening 11, and flows down to and adhere to the current-passing member 7. Since the member 7 has a high temperature, like the patterns 6, the ink adhered thereto rapidly deteriorates the member 7 to cause breakage of line, whereby the passage of an electric current to the patterns 6 is cut off, and temperature is lowered, thereby displaying an effect on the prevention of a fire. |
