PURPOSE:To enable the stable traveling control to be performed regardless of the amount of loading by inputting the loading condition of a traveling object allowing an appropriate speed pattern to be determined so as to perform the stable traveling control. CONSTITUTION:A speed pattern is set up based on the difference between the present address and the designational address of a traveling object allowing the object to travel to meet the above said speed pattern. in the travel control method, loading information of the object is inputted, and each of parameters which corresponds the inputted loading, is selected out of parameters for acceleration which is set in advance to each of loadings, deceleration from the maximum speed to the creep speed, deceleration from the creep speed to the zero speed, and the time duration for the creep speed. The speed pattern is determined based on these parameters allowing the traveling object to travel in following the pattern. This configuration enables the traveling object to be stably controlled in traveling regardless of the amount of loading.
