PURPOSE:To bend a section to be worked with the sectional figure of the recessed groove of the section unchanged by putting band plate along the both side walls of the recessed groove and bending the section with plural wedges driven between the wedges. CONSTITUTION:Plural band plates 6 having about equal length to that of the section 5 to be worked are inserted in the recessed groove of the section 5 and are abutted on both side walls 5a and 5b with the bands 6 divided by about halves to either wall. Plural wedges 7 are driven between the divided band plates 6 positioned on both side walls at intervals. The section 5 is supplied between three rollers 2, 3, and 4 from the inlet roller 2 side and is bent. After bending, the wedges 7 are pulled out and the band plates 6 are removed.
