<p>The disclosure relates to structural modules (60) of polyhedral form and which may be created by folding and/or bending and pinching a polygonal sheet (10) of flexible material, such as sheet steel, along a series of straight lines (16, 18, 22), to form a plurality of interconnected curved and flat surfaces (C, D), which constitute the module. Many such modules (60), may be appropriately interconnected as by bolts or welding to define a space enclosing structure suitable for a variety of purposes. While the shapes of the modules are most easily described by reference to folds, pinches and bends made to a sheet of material which may be a sheet of steel or a sheet of welded wire fabric it is apparent that the shapes may also be constructed by alternate methods, such as precasting and injection molding.</p> |
