PURPOSE:To realize the function to alterate a reproducing part without decreasing the quantity of main information and the quantity of additional information that can be recorded simultaneously by making (m) bits out of (n) bit data that indicate additional information area indicating data that indicate alteration of reproduced part and a reproduced area after alteration, and at the same time, using (l) bits that indicate the mode of recording in remaining (n-m) bit data as a destined address to be altered indicated by area indicating data. CONSTITUTION:(m) bits (m) is natural number less than (n) out of (n) bits data that indicate additional information are made for area indicating data that indicate alteration of reproduced part and reproduced area after alteration, and (l) bits [(l) is a natural number and l<=n-m] that indicate the mode of recording out of remaining (n-m) bit data are made for the address of alteration indicated by area indicating data. Thus, the mode of recording after alteration of reproduced part can be recorded without increasing the number of bits of additional information. Accordingly, the function to alterate a reproduced area can be realized without decreasing the quantity of main information.
