PURPOSE:To prevent noise generation caused by intermittent motor operation by forming the shaft supporting part inclined, making its parts other than the top from a friction material, and thereby preventing slack of the roll paper borne by the shaft. CONSTITUTION:If a spool 1 is inserted in a slit 14' formed in a frame 13' from the left as shown by arrow A, the spool 1 is located at Point D before an inclined part 15. If then the roll paper 2 is fed by a feed roller 11, the shaft end 6b of the spool 1 does not glide at Point D owing to friction but rolls on the inclined part 15 and moves to the upper part to reach Point E as upper part support 15b. There is no friction material 15a at this Point E with the mother material exposed, so that the spool 1 continues to glide over Point E. If under this condition the roll paper 2 cut by a cuter 12 is fed back to generate slack, the spool 1 falls down the inclined part 15 by its own weight and rotates reversely in the G direction as the arrow so as to wind the slackened roll paper 2.
