PURPOSE:To facilitate the handling along with a simple construction, by housing an air cylinder with different ends open at the top and bottom surfaces thereof respectively into a heat insulated container for a radio sonde to provide a space for passage of air between the outer surface of the air cylinder and the inner surface of the insulated container. CONSTITUTION:An air cylinder 2 for making a moisture measuring space 103 is housed into a heat insulated container 1, trafting spaces 112-115 are formed between the container 1 and the air cylinder 2. An arm member 3 which is housed into the spaces 112-115 for storage and transportation while being extended out to be exposed for flying is mounted in the air cylinder 2 and a temperature sensor is mounted at the tip thereof. Thus, as the internal environment of the air cylinder 2 quickly follows changes in the atmospheric conditions with the ascension of a radio sonde, accurate measurement is possible. The entire air cylinder 2 is housed and protected securely in the container 1 thereby enabling a lighter weight and smaller size with a simple construction -- all done simply by mounting the arm member 3 fitted with the temperature sensor on the air cylinder 2. |
