An arrangement for obtaining a switching criterion from a field strength measurement for transceivers in radio links in which the radio coverage is mainly via reflections. A field strength measuring device is set to a predetermined threshold. A control device continuously produces field strength measurements by the field strength measuring device at quasi-periodic times. A counting device with an accumulator in each case adds n counting valves in the accumulator when the measured field strength is above this threshold and substracts k counting valves from the accumulator when the measured field strength is below this threshold, n, k being integral numbers. The accumulator exhibits a predetermined starting value and a maximum or minimum count and produces a switching criterion at a predetermined count.
