Each of the independent prefix areas of the firmware area operates as an interface port betwen the operating system area and the common firmware area. Use of the common firmware area is activated through each prefix area by an instruction to use the firmware generated in the operating system area. Preferably, each of the prefix areas is constructed in the form of a re-entrant structure which is created by a respective working area of the prefix area. A key check is performed to protect the main memory from a write operation.
