A front-stock mounting is proposed which has a retaining rod 3 which is mounted on the breech box 1 and is used as a mounting element for a front stock 5. A retaining element 6, which is firmly installed in the front stock 5, is used for mounting on the retaining rod 3, in which retaining element 6 a screw 10, which is installed for fixing, or a sprung locking part 16 is accommodated. Furthermore, further mounting types where the front stock 5 is screwed directly to the retaining rod 3 are possible, so that the front stock 5 is in all cases mounted such that contact with the barrel 2 is prevented. <IMAGE>
