In a double-scissor vehicle jack with scissor arms which are connected to one another in such a way as to form a four-bar linkage, through which a manually operable threaded spindle passes diagonally, which is mounted on opposite scissor-arm pairs by means of a spindle nut and spindle abutment, the scissor arms being linked at the top and bottom to supporting parts by means of double joints, the joint pins of which in each case connect a scissor arm at the end to the supporting part, in order to ensure that its top supporting part follows the elevation curve of the vehicle, it is proposed that the joint pin (10) of the top supporting plate (8) remote from the handle (6) of the spindle (5) be mounted in such a way as to lag behind the joint pin (9) facing the handle (6) when the scissor arms (1-4) are extended. <IMAGE>
