COLOR IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To position each image accurately by providing a developing device for marks which supplies a developer to a positioning mark recording area provided at a side end part of a recording medium and eliminating the ground fogging of electrostatic recording paper and mark readout errors. CONSTITUTION:The recording paper 2 is rotated as shown by an arrow A and the latent image of an image positioning mark 4 is formed on the recording paper 2 by an electrostatic head 1 and then developed by the mark developing device 11 to obtain the mark 4. The recording paper 2 is returned to an image drawing start point and a series of systems are operated again as shown by the arrow A and the mark 4 is read by a sensor 5 to form a latent image as a black image by the electrostatic head 1 while positioning the image and a developing device which supplies black toner among developing devices 3 is operated to develop the image. The series of systems are operated similarly to superpose component images of different colors one over another successively, thus obtaining a color image. Consequently, the respective images are positioned accurately to improve the picture quality.
