PURPOSE:To exchange and supplement an object to be inspected for inspecting items exceeding a reference value when inspections are made for periodical maintenance, by comparing a value, which is obtained by accumulating values counted in registers for each inspecting item of each I/O for every inspecting time, with a previously set reference value and extracting the object of the inspecting item exceeding the reference value. CONSTITUTION:A Japanese line printer (NLP) 18 is connected with a bus 15 as an input-output device (I/O) 20 and an NLP register 21 is made to count by causing driving pulses to be outputted at every rotation of a printing-paper drum for printing of the NLP 18. When inspections are made at the time of periodical maintenance, an AND circuit 22 is turned on by means of an instruction from a CPU 11 and the content of the NLP register 21 is read out. Then the difference (a) between the previous and current count values of the register 21 is calculated and count values after mounting are accumulated. When the accumulated value exceeds a reference value after comparison, maintenance works to be carried out for each inspecting item, such as exchange of filter, etc., are displayed on a display (DPL) 14. |
