PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of the service life of a belt due to the minute variation of angular speed by selectively cutting off the transmission of revolution from a belt to a pulley shaft or from the pulley shaft to the belt only in the case when the angular speed on a driving shaft side reduces. CONSTITUTION:When the change from the increase of angular speed in the range A to the reduction of angular speed in the range B occurs, the transmission from a driving shaft 1 side to a trailing shaft 2 side is selectively cut off, and the revolution of the trailing shaft 2 which forms the momentary high revolution for the driving shaft 1 is permitted. Therefore, when pulleys 1A and 2A are installed onto the driving shaft 1 and the trailing shaft 2, either or the both of the polleys 1A and 2A are installed onto the shafts 1 and 2 through a unidirectional clutch 3A engaged only in case of the increase of angular speed, and a belt 4 is laid between these pulleys 1A and 2A.
