发明名称 MEASUREMENT OF HEAT RESISTANCE
摘要 PURPOSE:To evaluate the heat resistance of material such as glass and metal and metal tending to be deformed under a high temperature, by a method wherein object to be measured made into a sheet is left alone under a high temperature for a certain time as supported at both ends thereof to measure the deflection of the material being measured. CONSTITUTION:An object 1 to be measured comprising a material such as glass and metal tending to be deformed by an external force under a high temperature is made into a sheet, fed into an electric furnace as supported with a mullite at both ends thereof and then, left alone under a required temperature for a required time. Thereafter, the deflection of the object by own gravity subjected to a thermal treatment is measured at the center thereof to evaluate the heat resistance of the material having a correlation with the heat resistance and deformation characteristic. Thus, the less the heat resistance, the larger the deflection while the larger the heat resistance, the less the deflection thereby facilitating the evaluation without requiring any costly device and difficult sample making.
