<p>Alpha-polyhaloketoximes having the formula: <CHEM> wherein X and X min are the same or different halogen atoms; R is methyl or halomethyl; and R<1> is (C1-C12)alkyl optionally substituted with one or more halogen, (C1-C4)alkoxy, cyano or nitro; (C3-C6)cycloalkyl; straight or branched chain (C1-C4)alkoxy optionally substituted with one or more halogen; an amino group of the formula NHR<2> where R<2> is hydrogen, straight or branched chain (C1-C4)alkyl optionally substituted with one or more of the same or different halogen, (C3-C6)cycloalkyl, straight or branched chain (C2-C6)alkenyl, or aryl; a thio group of the formula SR<3> where R<3> is straight or ranched chain (C1-C4)alkyl optionally substituted with one or more of the same or different halogen, or aryl; (C2-C6)alkenyl optionally substituted with one or more halogen; aryl optionally substituted with one or more of the same of different halogen, cyano, nitro, (C1-C4)alkyl, (C1-C4)alkoxy, or (C1-4)haloalkyl, a heterocyclic group; phenalkyl where the alkyl moiety contains one to four carbon atoms and the phenyl ring is optionally substituted with one or more of the same or different halogen, cyano, nitro, (C1-C4)alkyl, (C1-C4)alkoxy, or (C1-C4)haloalkyl; phenylalkenyl where the alkenyl moiety contains two to five carbon atoms and the phenyl ring is optionally substituted with one or more of the same or different halogen, cyano, nitro, (C1-C4)alkyl, (C1-C4)alkoxy, or (C1-C4)haloalkyl; phenoxy optionally substituted with one or more of the same or different halogen, cyano, nitro, (C1-C4)alkyl, (C1-C4)alkoxy, or (C1-C4)haloalkyl; or benzyloxy where the phenyl ring is optionally substituted with one or more of the same or different halogen, cyano, nitro, (C1-C4)alkyl, (C1-C4)alkoxy, or (C1-C4)haloalkyl are useful biocides, fungicides or pesticides.</p> |
