The sensor is used for the electrical measurement of heat losses in a flowing medium, and is produced from a measurement housing which can be screwed into a wall and which has a measuring part which projects at the end face as a single part into the flow. The functioning is based on a measurement of differential temperature, one temperature-measuring element measuring the temperature of the medium and the other element measuring the temperature of the medium heated up by a heat source, and the measuring elements being arranged with the heat source inside the measuring part. The measuring part produced from only one homogeneous material has two blind bores, which are displaced onto the outer wall of the measuring part. The measuring elements inserted into these bores are positioned at the end face in one plane.
