PURPOSE:To control a gas cutoff valve from a visiting place by controlling the gas cutoff valve according to information from a safety device when a valve opening signal for the gas cutoff valve is inputted through a telephone set at the visiting place. CONSTITUTION:An operator at his or her visiting place makes a telephone call through a pushphone T1 and inputs the password number of his or her house and when the password number is inputted, it is judged whether or not an abnormal signal is inputted from a fire sensor S1, an accident prevention sensor S2, or gas leak sensor S3. When the result of a security check is OK, the apparatus number of the apparatus operation of at least either of gas apparatuses 43 and 44 is inputted to turn on the gas apparatus 43 or 44 and the operation state of the gas apparatus 43 or 44 is checked at this time; when the result of a security check is OK, it is judged whether the gas cut off valve 3 is open or not. When the valve is open, a firing command is outputted to the gas apparatus 43 or 44 and a speech of 'valve open and firing ready' is transmitted to the pushphone 1.
