A seatbelt lock, including a lock housing (10) with a base (20) and side walls (21) and a lock tongue (11) generally be inserted in the lock housing at an angle parallel to its base. A cam disk (24) is situated in the lock housing for rotation around a transverse axis (23) generally parallel to the base and partly forms a driver (26) to drive the cam disk upon lock tongue insertion in the lock housing during rotation of the cam disk, and partly a locking hook (25) to integrate with the lock tongue through the inherently accomplished turn. A pivotable catch (30) is spring loaded against the cam disk for blocking this piece at a stop (27) formed by the cam disk with the lock hook in locking position. A button (52) is designed to work the catch against its spring loading in order to release the catch from its stop and thereby drive the cam disk rotation during release of the lock tongue from the lock hook upon lock tongue retraction from the lock housing.<IMAGE> |
