PURPOSE:To prevent the stepping of a counter due to a malfunction by processing an answer signal corresponding to a stepping signal by a dip switch in the counter side and returning it to a copying machine and making the control of copying basing on an answer signal. CONSTITUTION:A stepping signal CO from a copying machine comes to a connector 23, a micro CPU 12 detects the signal CO through an interface circuit 20 in a counter. The CPU 12 processes the stepping signal by a dip switch and sends out an answer signal AK to the copying machine through an interface circuit 21. On receiving this signal, the micro CPU 152 of the copying machine compares the signals CO with AK at specified timing and when the signal AK is a specified number at specified delay, it is judged as normal and a relay RA is maintained as it is on. When the two signals do not correspond with each other, it is judged as abnormal and makes the relay RA off to make copying impossible. |
