<p>The present invention relates to a photomechanical contact device capable of obtaining deformations of a photographic image in such a way that, when this image is transferred by printing onto a metal blank and then stamped, the elongations produced for the stamping are corrected in the opposite direction, so that an image identical to the original is obtained on the finished can. The device comprises a light source consisting of a very thin light ray (D), in front of which travel a frame (A) carrying the original and a second frame (E) carrying the sensitive film, the first frame (A) being driven in a uniform rectilinear movement and the second frame (E) having a progressively variable movement.
