Method of producing naturally scented breathing air

It is known to free the breathing air from harmful substances by activated carbon filters and/or chemisorption filters or the like, and to feed the purified air back to the breathing region; attempts have already been made to introduce artificial perfumes into the filter region in order to achieve a specific scent but this is regarded as being unpleasant by many persons and may, in some instances, even cause headache. In order to avoid these disadvantages it is proposed, according to the invention, that the air to be purified, or already purified, be blown through wood beds with humidifiers for intensification of the natural wood odour. For the device it is intended that natural woods be connected to load-bearing elements such as frames (A) or filter materials (7), such that the woods are used, due to their porosity, as dust-like and gas-like filter surfaces for the simultaneous purification of the breathing air and for provision of a natural scent.
