PURPOSE:To make plural lapping machines operatable without man power, by inserting a chuck jaw into a stepped hole of a lapping jig for right holding, while installing a robot conveying the lapping jig, before use and after lapping. CONSTITUTION:A robot 9 is installed on a rail 11 shiftably along lapping machines L1-L6, while a lapping jig conveyor 13 conveying a lapping jig 4 fitted with both works, before lapping and being finished is set up in an end part of the rail 11. A control unit M for controlling operations of these lapping machines L1-L6, the robot 9 and the lapping jig conveyor 13 is installed there, and with a command from this control unit M, a chuck jaw of the robot 9 is inserted into a stepped hole of the lapping jig 4 on the conveyor 13, holding the jig 4 with this jaw, and it is fed to these lapping machines L1-L6. Next, the work on the jig 4 is lapped and then the jig 4 is transferred onto the conveyor 13. |
