PURPOSE:To enable the positioning of a shadow mask readily and in a high accuracy, by welding a mask holder to the mask while gearing the holder to a panel pin, after inserting the shadow mask in a panel and keeping at a specific position with a spacer. CONSTITUTION:At a shadow mask 7, a mask frame 8 to support the periphery of the shadow mask 7 is installed, and the shadow mask 7 is inserted in a panel 9 placing a curved spacer 10 between. After that, a mask holder 12 to hold the mask frame 8 flexibly is inserted in a gap between the side of the mask frame 8 installed at the periphery of the shadow mask 7 and a panel pin 11 fixed at the inner side of the panel 9, and the panel pin is fastened by inserting into the holding hole 12a. Then the contact of the mask holder 12 and the mask frame 8 is welded. In such a way, the shadow mask 7 can be installed at a specific position readily and accurately. |
