PURPOSE:To improve measurement accuracy, i.e. an end indication accuracy by detecting temperature variation for a specific time after the start of measurement and changing when the end of the measurement is indicated according to the current detected temperature and temperature variation. CONSTITUTION:The main body part 11 and probe part 12 of an electronic clinical thermometer 10 are formed integrally. This main body part 11 is provided with a push switch 13 and a display part 14. The switch 13 is an operation switch for measurement and the display part 14 displays bodily temperature. Further, the display part 14 is provided with a subordinate display part 15, which indicates the time of the end of measurement, i.e. 3, 5, or 7min according to the bodily temperature of a person to be measured. An indicating means is incorporated in the main body part 11 to indicate the end of measurement. The probe part 12, on the other hand, incorporates a temperature sensor in its tip and this probe part 12 is held under the arm to detect the bodily temperature. This temperature sensor is associated with the microcomputer of the main body part 11 and a detection signal is processed. |
