PURPOSE:To increase the performance efficiency and to reduce the danger in a work by making the specific gravity and compression strength of the arc shielding material of a stud more than equivalent comparing to those of the placed concrete and by placing the concrete with reserving them. CONSTITUTION:A stud is welded to a steel structure member by opposing the stud providing a flux to the steel structure member of a base metal and by surrounding the tip part of the stud by the ferrule of an arc shielding material. In this case, it is formed by the material having the specific gravity and compression strength more than equivalent comparing to those of the concrete placing the arc shielding material, for instance, cost iron, high density ceramics, etc. After completion of the stud welding, the concrete is placed with reserving the arc shielding material. The concrete surface is not deteriorated with the floating of the arc shielding material, nor the strength of the concrete is reduced.
