PURPOSE:To avoid erroneous processing of NC machine by providing a dummy connector to be connected with the connector of cable connected to NC machine when an electrode rotary unit is not mounted and simulating production of signal from encoder. CONSTITUTION:When removing an electrode rotary unit 3, the connector 6 is disconnected from a connector 4 to remove the electrode rotary unit 3 fixed to a pigtail member 1b from the machine body. While the connector 6 is connected to a dummy connector 12, as shown by dashed line. Upon connection of connector 6 in connector fixing box 13, the dummy connector 12 will produce same signal with that to be produced from encoder of electrode rotary unit 3. Consequently, treatment of cable after removal of said unit 3 is facilitated while erroneous processing of NC machine due to provision of no signal from encoder can be avoided.
