PURPOSE:To improve grinding performance and durability by forming the main component of a grindstone from the covered highly hard powder having a specific covered layer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of diamond powder and/or cubic boron nitride powder is covered with titanium carbide and/or titanium carbonate, and the covered highly hard powder is obtained. The durability of a resin bond grind stone containing the covered highly hard powder as main component, and bonding agent and additives is improved as shown by O-marks, and the surface roughness (Rmax) is 6mum.
