PURPOSE:To obtain a luminance signal of a wide band and a chrominance signal of a reduced jitter signal at an edge part by making 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th adder signals luminance signals, respectively and to make subtraction signals 1st type and 2nd type chrominance signals in respective photoelectric transducers in which 1st-4th optical filters are provided. CONSTITUTION:On a photodetective cell 1, color separation filters 2-5 are provided, when the nth line and the n+1st line are read, the signals of the color separation filters 2 and 3 are successively read, when the n+2nd line and the n+3rd line are read, the signals of the color separation filters 4 and 5 are successively read, respectively added and subtracted to obtain the luminance signals from the respective lines and the first type and the second type of chrominance signals every one line. In this case, a cycle period of the color separation filter in a horizontal direction is two picture element pitches, which is half the cycle period (four picture element pitches) when each one of the color separation filters is provided correspondingly to one photodetective cell. Namely, the number of samplings in the horizontal direction is doubled relevantly, so that the luminance signal of a wide band can be obtained, and as to the chrominance signal, the jitter signal produced in a horizontal edge is reduced.
