PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a currency processing system capable of easily transferring currency while illegal actions are difficult to occur during the currency transfer.SOLUTION: A currency processing system includes a loose coin processing unit, a reject box 115 removably provided in the loose coin processing unit to store reject coins, and a coin processing device to which the reject box 115 removed from the loose coin processing unit is fitted and which processes and stores the reject coins stored in the reject box 115. The reject box 115 includes openings 302 and 309, and covers 304 and 310 for covering the openings 302 and 309, and the covers 304 and 310 are locked inside.
