PURPOSE:To increase energy density and improve charge-discharge performance of a battery by electrochemically reducing an aniline (aniline derivative) polymer and treating it with alkali, then using it in a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:An aniline (aniline derivative) polymer prepared by electrochemical polymerization or chemical polymerization is electrochemically reduced and treated with alkali, then used in a positive electrode of a battery. Alkali metal (alloy), conductive polymer, or a complex of alkali metal alloy and conductive polymer is used in a negative electrode. By this constitution, energy density and reversibility of the battery can be improved. |
