PURPOSE:To reduce cost and increase productivity by filling active material mainly comprising cadmium or cadmium compound in a porous substrate obtained by distributing steel fibers and sintering in a reducing atmosphere, then treating with water soluble rust preventing agent without performing plating. CONSTITUTION:Active material mainly comprising cadmium or cadmium compound such as cadmium hydroxide and/or cadmium metal is filled in a porous substrate obtained by distributing steel fibers, and sintering in a reducing atmosphere, then treating with water soluble rust preventing agent without performing plating. Thereby, cost is reduced and productivity is increased. |
