PURPOSE:To prevent cell performance deterioration and lengthen the life by forming a catalyst layer by mixing electrolyte with catalyst and binder. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst layer 2A is formed by mixing electrolyte with catalyst and binder. For example, 40-100wt.pts. polytetrafluoroethylene, 100-350wt. pts. water, and 100-600wt.pts. phosphoric acid are kneaded with 100wt.pts. catalyst powder, and specified amount of the mixture is bonded to an electrode substrate 1. They are baked at 300-380 deg.C in an atmosphere of nitrogen gas to form a catalyst layer 2A. |
