Thermal imaging camera

In a thermal imaging camera having a cooled detector and a non-cooled lens which projects a thermal image on the same, the inner walls of the lens mount are silvered in the region of the thermal radiation to be detected and are designed and arranged such that they retroreflect the detector on to itself. For this purpose, the parts of the inner walls which face the detector are constructed as punctured spherical cups which are open in the direction towards the detector and whose centres of curvature lie in the detector plane. This permits a substantial reduction in stray light due to the characteristic radiation from the parts of the mount and stop of the lens.
