摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deep groove ball bearing which can make compatible both impression resistance and a rolling fatigue life while securing the easiness of the procurement of a material, and its inspection method.SOLUTION: In a deep groove ball bearing which comprises raceway rings 11, 12 and balls 13, and receives a thrust load, only the raceway rings 11, 12 contain carbon at 0.90 mass% or higher and 1.05 mass% or lower, silicon at 0.15 mass% or higher and 0.35 mass% or lower, manganese at 0.01 mass% or higher and 0.50 mass% or lower, and chrome at 1.30 mass% or higher and 1.65 mass% or lower, and are composed of quenched and hardened steel which is composed of residual impurities. Nitrogen-enriched layers 11B, 12B and 13B whose nitrogen concentrations are not lower than 0.25 mass%, and residual austenite amounts are not smaller than 6 vol.% and not larger than 12 vol.% are formed on only the raceway rings 11, 12, and at least raceway surfaces of the raceway rings 11, 12 have the nitrogen-enriched layers 11B, 12B and 13B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
