PURPOSE:To make it possible to remarkably prevent appearance of an interference fringe pattern due to light interference phenomenon on a formed image by forming the first and the second layers composed of specified amorphous materials, and arranging a large number of pairs of nonparallel interfaces in a short range in one direction in planes perpendicular to the layer thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:A light receiving member 100 is prepared by laminating on a substrate 101 the first layer 102 composed of an amorphous material containing Si and at least one of Ge and Sn, and the second layer 103 composed of an amorphous material containing Si and at least one of O, C, and N. The member 100 has in a short range a large number of at least of pairs of nonparallel arranged in one direction in planes perpendicular to the layer thickness direction, thus permitting the obtained light receiving member to be suitable for image formation using a coherent monochromatic light and prevented from appearances of an interference fringe pattern and mottles at the time of reversal development even in the case of repeated uses during a long period. |
