PURPOSE:To prevent an obstacle of a tool in its exchange, by forming a 2-10mum solid lubricant film on the tapered part peripheral surface of a tool holder or the tapered hole internal peripheral surface of a main spindle so as to prevent a contact surface from rust and/or wear, in the case of an automatic tool exchanger. CONSTITUTION:In an automatic tool exchanger, a tool holder 10 generates its clamping force of small strength because it is given by pulling the tool holder 10 through a built-in spring in a main spindle. Accordingly, a tapered part peripheral surface 10a generated red rust and/or wear by heavy cutting for a long time. Consequently, it is necessary to prevent metal contact while its generation by forming a film 30, consisting of a solid lubricant of about 2-10mum, on the tapered part peripheral surface 10a of the tool holder or the tapered hole internal peripheral surface of the main spindle. The film 30 is formed such that a dust of, for instance, molybdenum disulfide or boron nitride, is supplied as a flame spraying material to a plasma gun and injected heat plasma is irradiated to the tapered part peripheral surface 10a of the tool holder 10 being rotated. |
