PURPOSE:To moderately stop a rotary vane and to enable the rotary vane to rapidly return its starting position, by disposing a valve in a communication passage between first and second chambers, by fixing a cut-out disc on a shaft, by providing a rotary disc which is made into press-contact with the cut-out disc for rotation, onto the valve so that the valve is opened when the press-contact condition is released. CONSTITUTION:A cut-out disc 11 composed of two adjuster plates 11a, 11b each having a knurled surface and a cut-out section is fixed on the shaft 4 of a rotary vane 5. Meanwhile, a partition member 7 is formed therein with a passage 10 communicating first and second oil chambers S1, S2, and is provided with a rod 9 as a valve element for opening and closing the passage 10. The rod 9 is fixed thereto with a rotary disc 13 having a knurled peripheral surface and associated with the cut-out disc 11. Further, the rotary disc 13 is attached thereto with a spring which stores its energy when the rotary disc 13 is associated with the cut-out disc 11 while it returns its original condition when the coupling between both discs are released. Accordingly, the passage 10 is restricted in association with the rotation of the shaft 4 so that the rotation is moderated, and therefore, at the terminal end of the rotation, the valve is fully opened so that the start in the reverse direction may be made to be smooth. |
